About the Site

A quick little history and updates about the site

The original Im-Not-A-Goat site was initially hosted on Weebly under the domain name of im-not-a-goat.weebly.com, and it remained there for 4 years. This site was created in early 2014 and was not all that well known and mostly an inside joke to a few friends. Over the years the site slowly spread by word of mouth and eventually almost everyone knew of and used the site. The site never hosted any harmful or inappropriate content and had a policy against creating such content. At its peak, there were over 1,400 visitors a week, but then came the fateful day when the site was blocked and labeled as "malicious." Once the site was blocked, the original domain name was quickly snatched and redirected elsewhere for future use. And that is where the site remains to this day.

Updates / News

Below I'll post any updates or news regarding new explots or website updates

February, 2020:

If anyone actually sees this, I just want to let you know I will most likely no longer be actively supporting this website. I currently have too much other stuff going on, and this site is a lingering project from HS that I no longer have a need or use for. If you guys really are wanting to bypass your school's filters, try a VPN. Although most VPNs are blocked at schools, you could potentially set up your own or find a more obscure one that is not blocked. The VPN will unblock everything that the network blocks, but if you are stuck with a client-side filter, I'm afraid you're out of luck (unless you're able to find a bypass). If I ever find my self with some more free time, I might try to do some minor updates and additions, but at the moment, I don't have the time or effort to be able to do so. Although I will not be further developing the site, that does not mean it is going anywhere; the website will remain up and usable!

December 9, 2018:

I hope to post a tutorial on how to deprovision a ChromeOS device. This tutorial will be for educational purposes only and is not intended to be a method for unmanaging/deprovisioning a school-issued Chromebook. I do not actively endorse the deprovisinging of school-issued devices, but this method, in theory, can accomplish that task. This tutorial will mostly serve to help those who bought a Chromebook only to discover that it is locked a school or workplace which restricts adding or removing of user profiles or otherwise accessing developer settings. Warning: This method will most likely void your warranty and does require experience with Linux, and you'll need a few other components that can be bought found on Amazon.
